Gary Player Estates 44 Augusta Links:
An environmentally responsive design tailored to the topography, trees, view, sun, and prevailing breeze of the site, the home is conceived as four gabled pavilions, each linked with predominantly transparent spaces that hinge to relate to the site’s topography and views. The primary living space is sited to frame a view of a prominent rock outcrop across the North Saluda River valley. Outdoor spaces seamlessly transition from the building interior that offers protection from the western sun while graciously terracing at the north west corner in response to views and topography. The woodland terrace transitions to the natural grade at the east
providing a logical trail access to amenities such as the nature trail and Boma to the north east.
