Upstate Forever:
Built in 1912, Upstate Forever's building incorporates a variety of design strategies to improve occupant health, significantly reduce non-renewable energy and potable water use, and promote environmental stewardship through extensive use of reclaimed materials and native habitat restoration. The building serves as Upstate Forever's operations hub while providing an education and advocacy venue for sustainable building throughout the region. The project was awarded LEED Platinum Certification by the US Green Building Council - the first for new construction and major renovation in SC.
