The Canopy @ Cherrydale:
This sculptural tensile structure provides shelter for outdoor collegiate activities while providing a contemporary contrast to the adjacent historic Cherrydale Alumni Center. The canopy will feature a dramatic brushed stainless steel beam cantilevering over the plaza, relating to a nearby steel sculpture. The spring point of the beam will be an oversized steel hinge anchored in a pool of water featuring a soothing, spherical fountain.
