Lake Conestee Environmental Education Center:
This environmental education center is located on Lake Conestee and adjacent to the East Bay Wildlife Preserve. This facility will be the first in South Carolina committed the Living Building Challenge. The building form is derived from passive solar, natural day lighting and site-oriented ventilation strategies. Living Building devices include:

• Water Resource Technology: Water harvesting and living machine waste water restoration
• Energy Resource Technology: Geothermal heat and water and solar PV implementation
• Building Materials: Regional and cradle-to-cradle standards
