Merchants Bank

The adaptive reuse and historic preservation of the Eastover Merchants Bank building marks the rebirth of a southern community that has suffered economic distress for far too long. The resurrected building will provide a venue for a community arts center while also providing offices for the Eastover Lower Richland Business Association, start-up businesses, and perhaps a USDA support office. Johnston Design Group has pledged a matching grant of up to $10,000 toward renewable energy to encourage the community to begin its path toward energy independence as it pursues its path toward renewed economic prosperity.
